My son went to a birthday party a few weeks ago but had to cancel for personal reasons (long story). So we had a small party with only 3 of us (myself, my spouse and our son). Most of my friends mom was aware of his birthday and his birthday party, or even send a happy birthday greeting for my son by email, phone or card.
