Cute homemade Birthday card ideas?

I’m making my best friend a Birthday card, and I have no idea what to do. I want it to be unique and original but also cute. Hes a boy, I’m a girl and I’m NOT very artistic. So It cant be anything too challenging. Anyone got any idea’s?
Dont ask why its in this category btw, Y!A did it.
Noo. I dont mean a present, we made this deal that we’d only make eachothers cards and buy no presents. But Im taking him to the mall and I will get him a cookie or something :)

I once made my ex a card that he secretly enjoyed (he told me later). In the middle, I wrote “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” and then all around the border, I wrote him a note. I started from the outside and then started writing inwards, so that he had to continuously turn the card in order to read the note. And, because he’s a private guy, I got some ribbon and covered up the borders (and hence the note) so that only the ‘happy birthday’ shown through, so that he had to “unwrap” it in order to read it.

or, you could try making a pop-up card. if you don’t know how to make one, just type it into a search engine “pop up card” and you should get some good hits. and just draw something really simple and you’ve got a cute little card.

or you can try making a card out of collage…that way you wont have to draw anything, and you can find a bunch of fun little pictures out of mags that you think he’ll like.
